A SPATE of burglaries in Trowbridge has sparked a police investigation with the assumption a number of the incidents are linked.
Homes and garages in the Parklands area of the town have fallen victim to a string of attempted or successful burglaries. Overnight between November 30 and December 1, four homes were hit by the burglars with bikes being stolen from two of them.
A blue Ridge bicycle was stolen from a garage in Parklands between 6pm on November 30 and 9.30am on November 1. Another bike, with no description, was stolen from another garage in the same road on the same night.
PC Mark Hough of Wiltshire Police said: “We are still running an operation with regards to the recent spate of burglaries in the town, there are now extra officers out on patrol. We would welcome calls from the public on any suspicious activity happening in their area.”
Anyone with any information relating to the burglaries are asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101.
