FIREFIGHTERS rescued a horse which had got itself stuck in a ditch in North Bradley yesterday (Tuesday).
The service was called just before 10.30am and told that a horse was stuck in the ditch, just off Westbury Road.
One fire engine from Trowbridge, an animal rescue crew from Stratton and three officers were sent out to the incident.
Crews used slings alongside farm machinery to free the horse from the ditch and made sure it was happy and running around freely before leaving the scene.
