FOUR teenagers have been arrested in connection with a vehicle theft on Monday, January 16.

The car was stolen from Maiden Bradley at around 8pm but was very quickly located and stopped in Frome by police officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

Four teenagers were charged on Tuesday and have all been bailed to attend Chippenham youth court.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving with no insurance and driving without a licence.

The other three, all female, were also charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and with assault.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said that this demonstrated ‘superb teamwork’ between neighbouring forces.
