A 50-YEAR-OLD man who had to be cut out of his car through the windscreen after he overturned into a ditch in Wingfield has been arrested and charged with drink driving.
Glyn Vincent, of Vaggs Hill, Tellisford, Somerset, had become stuck in his car, which had flipped over into a ditch off the B3019, near Shop Lane, on Saturday at around 1.45pm.
Firefighters managed to free him from the wreckage and carried out first aid before he was taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital with a head wound by the ambulance.
However he has now been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He is due to appear at North West Wiltshire Magistrates Court on March 16.
