DRIVER planning to travel on the M32 are advised to allow extra time for their journeys this afternoon after a lorry overturned.

A fully laden HGV overturned on the M4/M32 interchange roundabout at 12.45pm as it made its way from the M32 towards the eastbound M4 entry slip road.

Highways England says it has worked hard to keep disruption to a minimum, and lane 1 of the roundabout and lane 1 of the junction 19 slip road are currently closed to traffic.

Some delays are expected during the afternoon and evening.

Drivers are advised to plan their journeys, allow extra time and consider their routes.

Once the evening peak has subsided, Highways England will recover the vehicle, which will necessitate a full closure of the M4 junction 19 eastbound exit slip road from 9pm.

Diversion routes will be in place while recovery takes place, and motorists wishing to join the M4 eastbound from the M32 are advised to follow the diversion to the M4 from junction 1 via the A4174.

Drivers wishing to join the M4 westbound from the M32 will be unaffected and drivers travelling eastbound on the M4 and wishing to join the M32 southbound should follow the diversion route via M4 junction 18.
