SIX talented dancers from Wiltshire have been selected to take part in a professional ballet production in Salisbury.

Luke Brunker from Hilperton, Eden Noad from Westbury, Elisha Shaw from Bradford on Avon and Olivia Clarke, Daisy Craddock and Leela Pang, all from Trowbridge, will feature in the double bill of the Nutcracker Suite & Ballet Etudes at Salisbury City Hall on April 21-22.

The performance will star internationally renowned dancers Adele Robbins, Monica Tapiador, Samantha Camejo, Amy Drew, Brenden Bratulic, Oliver Speers and Phillip Tunstall with the Wiltshire children as back-up dancers.

Siouxie Pang, 31, mum of Leela, said: “Leela did extremely well at the auditions to be selected and she’s very excited.

“She loves dancing, singing and acting and as a parent you want to give your child as many opportunities as possible to do what they love.

“We’re all going to watch her perform in Salisbury and we will make sure there’s someone at each of the three performances.”

English Youth Ballet (EYB) held a big audition for the ballet at Salisbury City Hall in November, where over 150 young hopeful dancers turned up to the two auditions which were held on the stage.

Mum of Olivia, Alice Gosney, 41, of Westmead Crescent, said: “Olivia is a huge fan of ballet and all things musical so she was delighted to be selected.

“She took part in her first pantomime at Christmas so her dream of performing professionally on stage is becoming more and more realistic.

“We can’t wait to go and watch her in Salisbury.”
