JORDAN Smith was returning to action on the European Tour for the first time in a month today at the Trophee Hassan II in Morocco.

The 24-year-old, from Derry Hill, has not competed since finishing 17th at the Hero Indian Open back on March 12.

Bowood player Smith, who is currently ranked 99th in the world rankings, has been forced to watch from the sidelines in recent weeks as the globe’s best players were in action at the WGC Matchplay and last weekend’s Masters.

Smith will be looking to continue his excellent first season on the Tour at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam this week, with his best result being a third-placed finish at the BMW SA Open back in January.

Fellow Wiltshire golfers David Howell and Laurie Canter also have entries for the tournament at Rabat on the east coast of Morocco.
