MELKSHAM Town boosted their hopes of wrapping up at least third place in the Toolstation League Premier Division by coming from a goal down to beat local rivals Bradford Town this lunchtime.
Darren Perrin's side, for whom third spot could be enough to secure a place in the Southern League next season, trailed to Dan Cottle's strike for the home side at Trowbridge Road.
However, Bradford lost Ricky Scott to a red card in the second period and the tide turned in the visitors' favour as they netted three times after the break to wrap up victory, despite a late consolation from Bradford substitute Nathan Flower.
Corsham Town gave themselves a vital lifeline in teh battle to pull away from the bottom two in the First Division as they defeated county rivals Devizes Town 2-0 at the Southbank, courtesy of goals from Alessandro Zarrelli and Aaron Masson.
Corsham are now third from bottom, five points clear of Calne Town, who lost 2-0 at home to Chippenham Park last night, Marc Scammell and Darrin Moss the goalscorers.
It was honours even in the other west Wiltshire derby as Warminster Town and Westbury United drew 1-1 at Weymouth Street.
Francois Allen gave hosts Warminster a half-time lead, but Westbury levelled in the second period.
Malmesbury Victoria were in fine scoring form as they thrashed hosts Oldland Abbotonians 5-1.
