GORE, horror and plenty of spooky surprises will feature at a a fright-fest in Trowbridge this weekend, which promises to be a spooktacular event.

Organised by Frome-based Norte Promotions, the horror convention at Trowbridge Town Hall on Saturday, April 22 will feature scare tours in the cellar of the hall, a traders' area selling scary merchandise, a virtual reality machine, a bar and an area displaying exotic animals including snakes and spiders.

Russ Ellingham, of Norte Promotions, said: “A lot of planning has gone into this and it’s set to be a really fun, scary event for all the family.

“There’s a wide range of activities on offer for all ages and the interactive tours in the cellar should be really great – it’s the perfect setting for a spooky tour.

“We’re hoping it will be really successful and will increase it to a two-day event next year if it is.”

The event runs from 10am-8pm and will be followed by an after-event show at 8pm featuring burlesque and gorlesque performances for over 18s.

Entry to the Town Hall is only £2 with some of the features on the day costing more. Tickets for the evening show are £10 in advance or £12 on the door.
