FAIRFIELD Farm College held an Easter egg hunt fundraiser to raise money for its new indoor equestrian centre.

On Wednesday, April 5, students at the Dilton Marsh college scoured the grounds for Easter eggs provided by Stephen Graver Ltd, Asda branches in Frome and Trowbridge branches, Morrisons in Westbury and Warminster and Waitrose in Warminster.

Local employers also showed their support with Allen & Harris Estate Agents in Westbury and Dilton Motors in Dilton Marsh providing sponsorship for the event, taking the amount raised on the day to £256, which will go towards the £150,000 needed for the horse riding centre.

Kerry Peace, senior learning support assistant at the college, showed her appreciation to the student council, which helped in setting up, distributing leaflets and helping out on the day itself.

Mrs Pearce said: “The weather held up for us and we had a great turnout. Lots of children came in from the local primary schools as well as students joining in.

“The children won Easter eggs and enjoyed seeing the animals. We also had a craft store and sold cakes.”

Rebecca Durham and Henry from Dilton Marsh were the proud winners of the £20 Toys R Us voucher which was donated by Allen and Harris Estate Agents in Westbury while Linda Jones from Dilton Marsh won the homemade Easter cake made by Katie Dance in the raffle.

So far Fairfield Farm College has raised around £6,000 for the centre and is asking the community to support its appeal.
