The Yew Tree, Warminster
TWO people were alleged to have assaulted a man at a pub in Warminster this weekend.
At 11.30pm on Saturday night the man and woman were alleged to have made threats with a knife, assaulted a man with a pool cue before attempting to cause more harm with a glass at The Yew Tree, Boreham Road.
A 25-year-old local woman and 28-year-old local man were arrested and later released pending further investigation.
Landlord Lee Strong said this is the first incident of this nature at the pub in two years and they are now working with police.
