A PLANNING application to convert a former shop and first floor flat in Bradford on Avon into two houses has been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
If approved, Bath-based Western Building Consultants Ltd will convert convenience store ANP Stores in Trowbridge Road, which closed in December, to new accommodation, but not everyone approves.
In a letter to Wiltshire Council, chairman of Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust Rosie MacGregor said: “We object to this application as this would result in the loss of a commercial use for which no justification has been submitted.
“It is important that employment provision is maintained within the town to support the local economy.”
