THE Southern Co-op’s Local Flavours VW camper van will make a stop in Wiltshire next week to celebrate 10 years of supporting local British food and drink producers.
The Local Flavours team will be handing out free tasters of Wilton Wholefoods products at the Co-op store in Bradford on Avon on Thursday (29 June).
Solomon Rimer, co-owner of Salisbury-based Wilton Wholefoods, said: “We have a fantastic relationship with Southern Co-op and enjoy working with them due to their community based ethos.
“Since we started working with them, we have seen an extremely positive impact on our business and have taken on additional permanent staff to help with the increase in sales.”
Mr Rimer runs the family business, Wilton Wholefoods, along with his wife, Nicola and brother, Daniel. They specialise in snacks, wholesome wholefoods and original cereals and granolas.
They founded Wilton Wholefoods in 1988, starting out as a market stall called Sunrize Wholefoods which they still run today.
The firm now employs 14 full-time members of staff and the company’s products can be found in more than 500 stores across the UK.
