THE professional head of the British Army visited Longleat on Wednesday to officially co-sign the Armed Forces Covenant with Viscount Weymouth.
General Sir Nick Carter, The Chief of the General Staff, signed the covenant, which is a voluntary pledge from businesses, charities and other organisations to show their support for the armed forces community.
Signatories also recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to their business and the country.
"We have always had a very close link to the military; particularly with the Warminster Garrison and we see the signing of this covenant as an indication of our ongoing support,” said Ceawlin, Viscount Weymouth.
"It is a great honour to welcome Sir Nick here to Longleat to act as witness and we look forward to forging even stronger relationships with the military community over the coming months and years."
