MORE than 960 people turned out for a Mini Book Festival for children of all ages at Bradford on Avon Library on Saturday (July 15).
The free event attracted a total of 965 people including parents, way above the 250 who normally use the library on a Saturday.
It included craft sessions and a reading from Dressing up Dad author Maudie Smith. The response was so good, the library hopes to run the event again next year.
Library Manager Jo Harris was delighted at the turnout, saying: βIt was brilliant. There were lots of people buying books, borrowing books and signing up for the summer Reading Challenge.β
