A paralympic equestrian made a special appearance as guest of honour at Fairfield Farm College graduation.

Anne Dunham OBE, five times paralympic dressage gold medalist showed her support by presenting awards and certificates at the graduation ceremony on July 13.

Anne has been supporting the college in raising funds to build an indoor arena at Fairfield for student and community use.

Tina Pagett, principle at Fairfield Farm College said: "We are all very proud of their achievements, every students has made a contribution at Fairfield and worked hard to overcome their disabilities.

"Anne was delighted to come along as a guest of honour this year, she talked to students about her experiences as a paralympian and showed her medals to the students.

"We have high aspirations for our students and will miss them all."

This year around 20 students graduated, some of whom have been with the college for two or three years.

The have all focused on developing their independence skills along with vocational and work skills.

Many of the students are are moving onto supported internships, paid and voluntary employment as well as supported living training and permanent supported living homes.
