New water rides at Center Parcs are receiving their finishing touches as they prepare for their grand unveiling by Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds later this month.

This week at Center Parcs Longleat Forest, workers have been taking on the colossal task of giving the finishing polish to the newest additions to the water ride family, Tropical Cyclone and Typhoon, working hard to ensure that they are both looking perfect ahead of their unveiling in two weeks’ time.

Tropical Cyclone will be the largest interactive two or three person raft ride in Europe. The new addition gives riders the chance to choose from themes such as thunder, waterfalls and coral reef before heading into the exhilarating ride.

The main attraction of the new ride is the cone drop, tipping riders at an angle that gives a zero-gravity experience - ideal for thrill-seekers.

Another new ride entering the resort is Typhoon, which also offers riders the opportunity to select from a wide array of themes before they enter the exciting light experience which includes drops and swings along its 140-metre long course.

As well as these two brand new rides, there has been a revamp of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. This will include a family water play area and a toddler play area and pool.
