SEARCH teams in Western Australia are desperately trying to find a missing Westbury man after he disappeared from a road in the Australian outback.
Anthony Collis, 32, was travelling to Darwin along the Canning Stock Route with a 39-year-old woman in a white Mitsubishi Triton but they became separated on Thursday afternoon.
The major search was launched after the 39-year-old woman walked into the Georgia Bore Camp approximately 8.2km north of the road on Thursday night.
The Tactical Reponse Group trackers, who are working with the police, pilots from the Airwing and State Emergency volunteers, discovered the abandoned vehicle on Friday afternoon.
There are now serious concerns for his welfare as the area is littered with sand dunes and has a lack of vegetation and water.
