A YOUNG rapper from Trowbridge is heading off to the bright lights of London to further his career in music.

Adam Zanotti, 19, is off to the ‘big smoke’ at the end of this month to join a level 4 Access to Music course.

And he’s hoping the move to Shoreditch will make him rich, as the old ‘Oranges and Lemons’ nursery rhyme goes.

Adam, of Cavell Court, Trowbridge, said: “I feel that I’ve outgrown Trowbridge and the South West.

“I am really well-known in this area but I need to go to London to develop myself as a music artist.”

Mr Zanotti, a former pupil of St Augustine’s Catholic College, has spent the past few years studying music in Bath and Bristol.

He’s just completed a level 3 Access to Music performance course, gaining several distinctions, and feels the time is right to further his career elsewhere.

“I’ve pursued my career here as far as I can go. I want to become a better artist and expand my music.

“It has been a long journey but I have strong role models and a clear vision of where I want to be.”

Under his rap name ‘znottig’, he’s just about to launch an EP CD ‘The Platform’ containing five songs. It is on sale at £5 each.

Over the past three years, Mr Zanotti has performed all over the South West, including several big Bristol clubs: Motion, Lokota, and Blue Mountain.

His work is also available on Facebook and YouTube. Mr Zanotti already has 5,000 Facebook followers and more than 350,000 Facebook and YouTube hits.

His mum, Marion Cameron said: “I’m immensely proud of Adam. He’s done fantastically well at college and is an extremely talented young man.”

Who knows, one day Mr Zanotti could be as big a star as Ed Sheeran, who also graduated from an Access to Music course before scaling the music charts.
