WEST Ashton Primary’s new headteacher is looking to rebuild the relationship the Trowbridge school has with the community in what she says promises to be an exciting time ahead.
Debby Huxham, who has taught for 20 years, took up the post in September and so far she is loving life in her new role.
After getting to know the parents and children, she is looking forward to getting the school more integrated in the community, the challenge of the role ahead and the school’s scarecrow trail this weekend.
“I am thoroughly enjoying my time here and I hope I can build on this good start,” said the former Westbury Infants deputy head.
“I think we can integrate better with the community and we are looking to do that by working with the church and other groups to bring us closer together. A good way to do that is with our famous duo scarecrow trail around the village.”
