SPINNING plates, flower sticks and diablos kept children entertained for hours when Circus Skills came to town.

The workshop in The Shires Shopping Centre in Trowbridge saw over 60 children come along and try out the circus games on Tuesday (October 24) from 12pm-4pm.

It was run by children’s entertainer Lucy Speilberg who goes by the names of Lucy Lost-It.

She said: “The children were so enthusiastic and determined to learn how to use the equipment, they loved it.

“I even managed to teach one child how to juggle.

“I think it is really important to have things like this going on in half term to keep the children occupied and entertained, and lots of parents loved it as well and joined in with the fun and games.”

The Shires Shopping Centre are holding free events for children during the half term week until Saturday October 28, including balloon modelling, face painting, pumpkin carving and fancy dress competitions.
