A TROWBRIDGE man has been fined and given a two-year community order for outraging public indecency and voyeurism offences.

Kevin John Andrews, 35, of Downside Park, Trowbridge, admitted two offences at Bath Magistrates' Court last month and was sentenced on Wednesday.

Both incidents took place in Oldfield Park, Bath, on October 30.

In the first charge, Andrews admitted committing an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner in a public place while observing a naked female within the privacy of her own home who was unaware of his presence.

When Andrews appeared in court on November 15 a second charge was added, which he also admitted. It read that he "for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, observed another person doing a private act, knowing that the person did not consent to being observed for your sexual gratification."

That hearing was adjourned so that a pre-sentence report into Andrews criminal history could be carried out.

When he returned to court on Wednesday, Andrews was fined £85 and told to pay a £85 victim surcharge and £100 compensation to the victim.

He was also told to complete a two-year community order, which includes 55 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days and a Probation Service programme for up to 55 days.

He is also required to register his name and address with the police. This aspects of the sentence is still being finalised.
