A DANCE school in Trowbridge took a break from its day-to-day routine as hundreds enjoyed its Christmas fair on Saturday.

Morphew School of Dance, Marsh Road, put on the event from 12-3pm, which included craft stalls, face painting, a raffle, a chocolate tombola and much more.

Owner Gill Dobroczynski organised the event to celebrate the school's first term in its new studios, after moving from its old premises of 25 years at Roundstone School in Polebarn Road back in June.

"This was a lovely way to show people that we are doing really well at our new site at Marsh Farm and to spread the festive joy with a Christmas event," she said.

"There was good turnout, with a great atmosphere and we managed to raise more than £200 from the event and this will to towards a fund that I am setting up for a defibrillator to be put outside the industrial estate.

"We spent the summer converting the unit into three purpose built dance studios and it is going really well.

"It was nice to take a little break from dancing and get people down to our new home. We have dancers as young as two, up to around 70, and there was a really good mix of ages who turned up on the day as well."
