THE fully refurbished Kwik Fit store in Malmesbury had its grand reopening last month, after the company made significant investment to the centre.

Deputy Mayor, Councillor Fran Vandelli met the team of the Malmesbury branch on November 17 and officially declared the centre open to the public.

The Malmesbury centre was chosen for the investment from Kwik Fit's UK network of more than 600 centres, because of the commitment staff have made in serving the community, and a sign of the company's confidence in existing strength and potential demand in the area.

Cllr Fran Vandelli, said: "The investment that Kwik Fit has put into the local centre is very good news for Malmesbury and its motorists. The town is very fortunate that the Old Station Yard centre was selected for refurbishment with all the latest technology.

"It's commendable that there's an apprenticeship scheme in place to give young people a helping hand by creating jobs and giving them some valuable career skills. I hope young people in Malmesbury will see the benefit and apply for the programme."

This new investment has meant a completely redesigned reception area to promote a more welcoming customer-friendly environment. The centre also has a specialist laser wheel alignment equipment that allows a car's four wheels to be aligned as per the manufacturers specification, as well as continuing to offer the full range of Kwik Fit services.

Malmesbury's centre manager, Shaun Garrett, said: "It's given the staff a real boost that our hard work has been recognised, and that our centre has been given major investment. All the team at the Malmesbury branch take great pride in our work and now we ave a working environment that matches our ambition to deliver the best possible service.

"It's also good news for the community because we are now armed with the top of the range equipment that will allow us to serve our customers even better than before. We are really excited and can't wait to get going.
