CLARENDON Academy has scored its third successive Good rating following an OFSTED inspection.

The Trowbridge school achieved the rating for its effectiveness of leadership and management, its quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for pupils.

However its 16-19 study programmes required improvement.

Headteacher Mark Stenton said: “This is proof that we have a sustainably good school, providing quality secondary education to the children and young people.. Inspectors also recognised that the school is on a rapid trajectory of positive development.

“This is what team Clarendon is all about; working together, raising the bar and demanding the best – always acting in the true spirit of comprehensive education.

“We want the judgement in three years’ time to say this is an outstanding school.”
