Crop circles to be debated

CROP circles enthusiasts in Wiltshire have been overwhelmed by this year's harvest of unexplained activity.

A well-timed crop circle conference has been organised for this weekend, which will give visitors the opportunity to view some of the designs that have cropped up across the county.

Francine Blake said: "We have had a fantastic year. It is beautiful. They have come up all over Wiltshire. We've had 25 so far and they are quite brilliant. "

The county is notorious for hosting the designs, and while it is a nuisance for farmers, Wiltshire is proving to be a top destination for crop circle spotting.

This weekend's conference starting on Saturday at Marlborough College will include two-days of lectures, films and workshops, as well as helicopter flights on Monday.

There are ten speakers in the line-up including many authors and experts in the field of crop circle investigation. Janet Ossembard, a researcher from Holland has been brought in to replace author Sylvia Franke.

Bert Janssen will be replacing Allan Brown to discuss the geometry of crop circles. Tickets cost ££90 per person or £55 per day. For more details go online to www.wccsg.com or call 01380 739966.

Janet Ossembard and Bert Janssen are the people who filmed themselves climbing into Silbury hill in 2001. They caused the second collapse which Wiltshire rate payers are now forking out £600,000+ for English Heritage to fix the damage to the hill.
Now they are back in Wiltshire stamping out cropcircles and charging £90 a head to tell people what they are supposed to mean.
These idiots should be driven out of the county!

There's a similar mound near Radstock, but more recent! I wonder if that will be protected by English Heritage in a few thousand years time too?

If they can find folk wots daft enough to pay £90 to listen to a load of ol' twaddle, good luck to 'em. Oi tell 'ee, oi lived in Wilshur man an' boy fer nigh-on 65 year, and these bloody circles be new, never 'ad 'em or 'eard of 'em afore the 60s. Reckon Oi'll charge a fiver down to "Jolly Plowman" to tell folk about how cowpats in fields be from the moon!

Walter, if you and Jarge did a double act on crop circles and cow pats from the moon at the 'Jolly Plowman', we'd all be daft enough to pay the £90 to be kept laughing in these miserable times.

I don't think I'll bother with losing £90 to the Crop Circle Fanciers though. Perhaps they'll be abducted by aliens to make crop circles on the Planet Zarg!!
