EASTER eggs are needed for the Shires Shopping Centre’s appeal to help send off chocolatey goods to children at a Wiltshire hospice.

The Trowbridge shopping centre is doing a static cycle in aid of Julia’s House and Great Ormond Street Hospital in June, but Shires centre manager Sarah Louise Moore wanted to help out a bit sooner.

She is hoping to collect 50 eggs from the public which will go to the 50 families across Wiltshire that are supported by Julia’s House.

So far 25 eggs have come from the public, five from Thorntons in the Shires, but at least 20 more is needed to reach the target.

“Julia’s House is such a great cause, it almost goes without saying, so we wanted to make Easter a little bit better for those children,” she said.

“I want to thank everyone who has donated so far and to Thorntons too. They are really good at supporting us, so this is a really kind thing to do.

“If we can reach our target that would be great.

“We are collecting until Monday at 5pm, so there is time for people to send an Easter egg in.”

To drop off an Easter egg, go to the management suite in the Shires. For more information call 01225 777255.
