THE first Wiltshire Game and Country Show is taking place in the grounds of Bowood House tomorrow and Sunday.
Visitors can look forward to two days of top arena entertainment with gundog displays, heavy horse logging, sheepdog displays, deer stalking and scurry driving.
There will also be falconry displays, ferret handling, a parade of hounds, fly casting and side-saddle riding.
Lovers of countryside pursuits and sports will also be able to have a go at activities such as clay shooting and archery.
In addition, the show offers a wide variety of dog competitions and challenges for the family pet including agility classes, and a fun dog competition.
The show plays host to a Falconry Village with a special on site advice centre.
For the angling enthusiast, there is also a Fishing Village, where everything from split cane rod making to specialist associations and top quality angling equipment can be found.
The show also boasts more than 200 country trade stands, selling everything from branded country clothing to hand carved rustic furniture.
