IT was a night of success for Crapper & Sons Landfill Ltd at the Wiltshire Business Awards as they were presented with the Outstanding Excellence Award.

Launched in 1985, the company, which is based in Royal Wootton Bassett, works hard to minimise its impacts on the environment by recycling around 85 per cent of all waste material it receives.

Sponsored by Thrings Solicitors, the award was given to Crapper & Sons for demonstrating success across all areas of the business.

"This is amazing," managing director Richard Crapper said. "I want to thank the team for everything they do. We are a longstanding business and it's great to win this award."

Lynda Clifford, compost manager added: "It is amazing. We have had a good night, but now we're about to have an even better night!"

First City Nursing Services Ltd were runners-up while the Lingerie Outlet Store and Bechtle claimed joint third place.

"This is an honour," Stephen Trowbridge from First City Nursing said. "My staff are amazing and it has been a brilliant night and we cannot believe we are in the final three for this amazing category."
