A SALON is raising a few eyebrows after enjoying a successful start to life at its new Trowbridge home.

Business has been booming at Emerald Florence: Lash and Brow Specialists, of The Gateway, off Bythesea Road, since it opened its doors to the public in early March.

That success, however, has been hard earned for Emerald Crawford, who seven years ago started her own salon in a cabin in her back garden.

Fast forward to 2018 and her sister Letitia, Beth Thompson and Hayley Robertson are on the cusp of starting something 'very special' with their own shop.

"There is a bit of a gap in the market as salons tend to offer everything whereas we specialise in lash and brows," said Emerald.

"We are a group of specialists that focus on this area and so far the feedback has been fantastic. Most salons try to be the jack of all trades but we have a specialised focus that is working well.

"It is such an exciting time for all of us. If people want to drop in for a quick session, they can do that. In the past people wanted thinner eyebrows, now people want that thicker look and we can provide that."

At the shop they do eyelash extensions, microblading, a form of semi-permanent tattoo that involves using tiny needles that make up a small blade to help deposit pigment under your skin, waxing and much more.
