RESIDENTS of Southwick are being urged to have their say on the village's latest stage of its neighbourhood plan.

An online questionnaire has been created to collect responses and paper questionnaires are available at Southwick Baptist Chapel, Wynsome Street, and Southwick Village Hall, Frome Road, from Friday, May 18.

Drop in events are being held at the chapel on June 15 from 6.30-8.30pm, June 16 between 2-4pm and June 17 from 4.30-6.30pm.

This round of consultation officially starts on June 1 and ends on June 22 and further consultations will take place later in the summer.

The Chairman of Southwick’s neighbourhood plan steering group, John Eaton said: "We have a lot of research for people to view and comment on. We also need to know what the community thinks are the most important issues for a plan to deal with.

"While no decisions have yet been made about housing, a site selection report has been produced identifying possible sites for inclusion in the neighbourhood plan should the community so wish.

"Given Southwick’s village status in the Wiltshire Core Strategy, it is unlikely that very large sites will be acceptable.

"However, it is possible for interested parties to put forward alternative sites of appropriate scale for inclusion into the plan, providing they can provide an accurate site map and written proof of availability."
