A MAN who is walking the entire length of the country to raise money for the MS Society passed through Wiltshire at the weekend.
Ricky Menzies, 26, from Milton Keynes, stopped in Dilton Marsh on Saturday for a rest while on his solo 1,000 mile walk from Lands End of John O’ Groats.
After living in Canada for six months with his friend Diane Clark who was diagnosed with MS, Mr Menzies wanted to give back to the cause.
Mr Menzies said: “Diane has reminded me that not even a chronic illness can stop the human spirit from achieving what it wants, she is one of the strongest people I have met.
“I don’t feel like I have explored or seen much of my own country. What better way to experience it than to walk through it, rather than watch it pass me by in a car or on a bike.”
