YOUNG performing arts students from Trowbridge will join thousands of others in trying to break the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous performance of one show.

Stagecoach Trowbridge will join almost 200 other Stagecoach schools across the UK and abroad to perform Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Junior on July 1.

The performance, which will be performed simultaneously, will make 30 years of Stagecoach's success in the performing arts. Upwards of 6,500 children will be involved.

If successful, Stagecoach will break its own record, which currently stands from 2008. The group put on 66 performances of Glad Rags across the UK, Ireland and Germany.

Principal of Stagecoach Trowbridge and Frome, Freddie Underwood, said, "The students feel honoured to have such an incredible opportunity and have worked tirelessly."
