THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of affray following a disorder in Trowbridge on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to Fore Street shortly before 2pm after a member of the public reported that a disorder was going on between a group of youths. 

So far, two 16-year-old boys and a 44-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Inspector Andy Fee said: “This disorder happened in the Fore Street and Market Place area and involved a number of youths. One person has sustained injuries which are not believed to be serious.

“This happened in a busy area of the town centre during the middle of the afternoon – we know there were witnesses and there were people in the area who were filming the incident on their mobile phones. If you have video footage, or any photos of the incident, please do not post them on social media as this could seriously impact on any future court cases. “I’d like to reassure members of the public that this incident is being dealt with robustly. We are gathering all evidence available to us and request the assistance of the public to help prosecute those involved.”
