SCORES of people are expected to turn out next month to help a village pub to raise funds for the Dorothy House Hospice.

The White Hart at Atworth is staging its 9th annual music festival, @Fest, on Saturday, July 7 from 1pm onwards.

There will be live music from 2pm to 10pm, activities for children, plus a family barbecue and more.

Sasha A’Court, of the White Hart, said: “This is our 6th year supporting Dorothy House Hospice, raising a massive £4,862.11 so far.

“This is only a small part of the £36,758.18 that Nathan and Kirsty Cortilla have raised in their nine years of being a part of this community.”

Local groups will supply games, ice creams and more to help raise money for Atworth, including Churchfields PTA, the swimming pool and Atworth Guides.

This year Atworth’s very own band, Burlington Underground, will headline the festival.
