WESTBURY Community Shed volunteers teamed up with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to fix all sorts of broken household items at Westbury’s first repair café at Paragon Hall.
Several lamps, a heater, a pot and a strimmer were fixed at the café, and a pop-up bike repair stand was set up for free repairs.
All the work at the repair cafe which took place earlier this month stopped general household items from being thrown away.
Organiser Linda Hallowell said: “It’s great our first repair café was a success and we got requests for a regular repair café.
“This was a truly community event, local organisations coming together to help the people of Westbury and the environment.”
Westbury-based organisations including EJ Crafts and Imperial Charity also volunteered their time to help out at the café.
The café raised £19.40 through donations to help with running and refreshment costs.
