PUPILS at Kingdown School had an insight into politics as they were visited by MP Dr Andrew Murrison last Friday.
The MP spent the day talking to Year 12 government and politics students about why he became involved in politics in the first place, before giving time to answer individual questions from the pupils, as well as ideas raised by tutor groups across the school.
Some topics of conversation included what the government is doing to help the decline of high street shops, repairing the potholes in Warminster’s roads and local bus services becoming more irregular.
David Richardson, assistant head teacher at Kingdown School, said: “As you can imagine, the ideas raised led to lively discussions and interesting views from Andrew and our students alike.
“We thank Andrew for his time, and for giving the students at the meeting the opportunity to discuss and consider important issues.”
