CARING bakers have raised cash for the Alzheimer’s Society by holding cake sale at Candlelight Care Care in Westbury.
The annual bake day is held by the Alzheimer’s charity every June and this year staff at the home care service and sleep in care provider raised £71.09 by baking and selling their tasty creations.
Lorna Kent, registered manager at Candlelight Care in Westbury, said, “The Alzheimer’s Society is a cause which we all support, and many of the clients who we care for are living with the disease. We are delighted that we have been able to help the charity and look forward to taking part again next year!”
Candlelight Care has offered support for people of all ages for the last 30 years in their own homes and has been awarded the Investors in People Bronze standard for its commitment to developing its staff. It is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.
