CHILDREN from Trowbridge’s Polish community got a chance to strut their stuff as part of a local school’s annual colourful show.

Since the New Year, around 100 children from the Polish Saturday School have been preparing for the big performance, which this year took place at the civic centre.

And after 11 years of putting on the show, which this year included cabaret, dancing and Aladdin performances among others, the school’s director Kate Basinska said that everyone did themselves proud as it was a day to remember.

“I am very proud of the children. It is one of the best things we do each year and I have to say each year it gets better and better,” she said.

“The children, who range in age from six to 13, came up with their own performances in groups and did a really good job.

“What is good is that we tried to get everyone involved and they like that. I want to thank everyone who made this possible.

“The team at the civic centre, which is a really good sized venue for something like this, were very helpful with organising it all too.”
