PEDAL power came to the Shires shopping centre in Trowbridge as dozens of people took part in a static bike ride fundraiser for two causes.
Shires management, security staff, shop teams and customers hopped on bikes to pedal more than 100 miles and raise over £2,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
Of the 80 people that took part, Vince Cortilla, 72, cycled the furthest distance, clocking up 25 kilometres.
Sarah Moore, Shires centre manager, said: "It was a fantastic day. A real team effort with some great camaraderie amongst staff, customers and the centre’s store teams.
"On the day, our regular customers joined in and jumped on to help and we held a competition for the person who raised the most sponsorship money to win a Samsung Tablet worth £300.
"This was a great motivator for everyone taking part. The page is still open so we’re yet to announce the winner but we will be soon."
Snap Fitness in Trowbridge provided the bikes.
