THE Mighty Titans from a Bowerhill fitness centre are due to finish their 1,000-mile run from Land’s End to John O’Groats today (Friday).
Fifteen runners from New Era Fitness are running to raise more than £10,000 for Wiltshire Mind, the Melksham-based mental health charity.
They plan to cover the 874-mile distance in just seven days, having started last Saturday at Land’s End.
They are being led by gym owner, D J Hussey, who said: “It’s going brilliantly so far. We are still on schedule to arrive at John O’Groats early Friday morning.”
One of the 16-strong team, Judith Greenman, was forced to drop out of the challenge for personal reasons.
The team has already topped the £7,733 mark for its fundraising appeal, which was inspired by D J Hussey’s father, who died after suffering from depression.
