POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car went off the road and hit into a mound on the outskirts of Trowbridge on Thursday morning.

Fire crews from Trowbridge received a call just after 10am of a blue Nissan car careering off the road at Hag Hill junction near Ashton Common.

The car, which collided with another, went 30 yards off the road and into a five foot high mound.
