A family fun day on Saturday afternoon has celebrated the Mexican artist who inspired Bradford on Avon’s Minerva Owl.
Frida Owlo is one of 82 Minerva Owls located in Bath and the surrounding area.
The event was organised by Bradford on Avon Business group to celebrate Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist on whom Frida Owlo is based.
James Sullivan-Tailyour, manager of The White Swan, said: “It was a fantastic day and did seem to catch everyone’s imagination.”
The event in Lamb Yard included children’s and craft-based activities led by Artist Bunny, aka Lara Varga, the designer of Frida Owlo.
They featured garland-making, fun painting sessions, face painting and competitions.
Rachael Arnold, from local dance group Groovy Movers, led children in a macarena/salsa dance session, and there was also a children’s piñata party game and live music from St Laurence Samba Band.
