HOW better to celebrate 175 years of brewing excellence in Swindon than with a beer festival?

Arkells' Brewery will have more than 40 different cask beers at the festival it's putting on at its Kingsdown Brewery in Stratton to mark the momentous birthday.

The last time the festival was held, in 2013, more than 1,200 crammed into the brewery to enjoy the ale

Head Brewer Alex Arkell, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing the festival back. We wanted to make our 175 years of brewing a special celebration and what’s better than celebrating with a beer festival for the local community with all profits going to amazing causes.

It’s a very special occasion for us at Arkell’s and we’re really happy we can share this year with our valued locals and loyal customers across the South West.”

The festival will run from noon to 8pm on Saturday 15th September. Tickets costs £5 with all money raised to The Prospect Hospice and The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
