TROWBRIDGE residents are being invited to enjoy a day of history and culture as the town is putting on a heritage open day on Saturday. (September 8)

This is a collaborative effort between Town Hall Arts, Drawing Projects UK, Court Street Gallery and Trowbridge Museum with the aim of showcasing the town’s cultural and artistic offering.

On Saturday, the Court Street Gallery has an exhibition on from 10am-4pm which takes a look back the first Brick Mills to be built in Trowbridge. There will be displays and textile sessions too. A guided history walk is taking place outside Mastershoe in Castle Street at 11am with the Trowbridge Museum team for one hour, costing £4.

Town Hall Arts are having guided tours of the venue at 11am, midday and 1pm, there is a Victorian tea party from 2-4pm and artist Paul Workman will be holding talks.

The Bridge House, Stallard Street, has a drawing discussion at 4pm. Trowbridge Mayor Dennis Drewett will be popping around these events too. Call 01225 751339 for more details.
