A CELEBRITY panel is going to be swapping their stage presence for a spiritual one as they embark on a paranormal investigation for charity.
Ex Sugarbabe star Mutya Buena, Big Brother Housemates Kemal and Kinga, and Britain's Got Talent finalist Damon Scott are just some of the celebrities that will take part in a paranormal investigation at a secret location to raise funds for The Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The idea for the event, called Famous and Frightened', was thought up and put together here in Wiltshire by paranormal investigator Ray Jorden, 37, and medium and Reiki practitioner Jaine Gray, 36.
The pair, both from Warminster, hope to raise at least £5,000 with the Famous and Frightened event organised for April 2 this year.
Mr Jorden, who is due to appear on a new ITV West series called Paranormal 5, is very enthusiastic about the project.
He said: "It is going amazingly well. We have had so much support for this. I have always wanted to do something to do with my passion for the paranormal and a charity. I did Great Ormond Street Hospital radio a few years ago and it is a good charity to support. It is about giving something back to the community."
Other names confirmed for the event include BAFTA award-winning actor Lewis Alsamari and Russ Spencer from British bubble-gum pop group Scooch. More names are still to be confirmed.
Mr Jorden, who is a member of Warminster-based UK5 Paranormal, said: "It will be set at a very haunted location in London. It will be done in teams with each investigating this particular location. I can't say where it is but I can say that it is known for being very very haunted."
The pair met through Internet networking site MySpace and got chatting about ideas to raise money for charity in a unique and exciting way.
Mr Jorden had been thinking about the Famous and Frightened idea for a while and Mrs Gray stepped in with some fresh ideas that they were able to put together to come up with the final project.
If successful, the paranormal pair have said they will hold the event annually and have big plans to take the idea to the producers of Comic Relief.

The televised series of Paranormal 5, a programme investigating haunted sites throughout the country, is due to be aired in July.
