A NEW beat has been added to the curriculum at Grove Primary School in Trowbridge.
Students have taken part in 30 minute sessions, learning the skills of drumming, while having a go themselves.
The drumming workshop was held by Kaya, a professional drumming team.
Led by Alex Miles, the project co-ordinator, the children were able to express themselves creatively through music.
The school's arts co-ordinator and teacher Helen McPherson said: "The sessions were really fantastic and reached out to everyone.
"The children have benefited so much from working together as a team and it has been great for confidence building. They have had a lot of fun playing so many rhythms."
