NEW delivery times to stores being built on the site of a former petrol station and MOT centre in Warminster have been approved.
Plans for a mixed retail, residential and office development on the former Victoria Garage site in Victoria Road were originally approved in April, with a condition that no deliveries were allowed on Sundays and Bank Holidays to the planned convenience store.
The applicants, Richendale Ltd, asked for the clause to be lifted as they were finding it difficult to attract potential occupiers with the current delivery restrictions.
West Wiltshire District Council committee voted unanimously in favour of changing the delivery times to between 7am and 7pm everyday, including Bank Holidays.
Case officer Rosie Macgregor told the committee: "Environmental Health have agreed to this and believe it will not be a nuisance to neighbours."
The redevelopment will consist of 12 flats, four maisonettes, two shops and a convenience store, which will replace a former Cost-Cutter outlet.
