MORE than £10,000 has been raised for the appeal to build a new premature baby unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Golfers across the south west got in the swing for The Forever Friends Appeal by taking part in a special golf event at the Manor House Golf Club in Castle Combe.
Sponsored by Chippenham-based Herman Miller for Healthcare, the event saw a turnout of 18 teams, with golfers from Western Power Distribution narrowly taking the first prize.
Nina Rack, corporate officer for The Forever Friends Appeal, said: "We'd like to say a huge thank you to Herman Miller for sponsoring this fabulous event, and providing some wonderful prizes and gifts for the golfers.
"We are most grateful to all the golfers for taking part and for raising such a wonderful amount of money for the NICU space to grow campaign."
