A £2MILLION improvement scheme to refurbish stations at Warminster, Westbury, Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon is being celebrated today.
Town mayors and other guests including MP Andrew Murrison will enjoy a tour of each of the four stations before a plaque is unveiled at each station.
The Heart of Wessex Community Rail Partnership will be involved in the celebration of these refurbishments having made a significant contribution by surveying station users to find out the improvements they would like to see made.
This research was helpful in prioritising the work. All four stations will benefit from an improved Customer Information System in addition to enhanced CCTV protection, in keeping with First Great Western's pledge to invest in these facilities across its network.
First Great Western Regional Manager Andrew Griffiths said "We've made a wide range of improvements at each of the stations which include new and refurbished toilet facilities, waiting rooms, ticket offices, lifts and subway, cycle facilities, car parks as well as extensive painting throughout the stations."

Extra seating on platforms and in larger waiting rooms, shiney new toilets, nice murals and colour schemes and a new more efficient ticket office so they can take money faster. Thats all great, but will the trains be on time?

Surely self sufficiency with a load of pigs (up to 30 odd a year from one hog you know) and a load of chickens and 200 eggs per year per chicken, you wouldn't need to leave the allotment Necker. Perhaps once a year to go to market on your horse n cart maybe? If you find you are unable to afford a horse, then I'm sure your partner in grime Yetiplop will take up the reigns. Lash her with the whip...she'd love that she would.
